After 13 years in the business of making people feel good about themselves, I have opened my own salon!  I received my cosmetology license in 2001. After which I went into an assisting program at a salon here in Sacramento where I learned the precision and artistry of Vidal Sassoon Haircutting.  Also during my assistant program I received my Certification with the American Board of Certified Haircolorists, making me a true color specialist. One thing I love to do is color corrections. I believe that color is color and it is the colorist that creates beautiful color. In 2004, moved on to another salon in downtown Sacramento where I designed and taught their assistant color program. In 2006 I returned to my mentors and had the great honor to redesign their assistant color program. I truly love teaching up and coming talent in the industry. In 2007 I had my first child and, while on maternity leave, went back to barbering school and got my barbering license, which allows me to do full service facial shaves. In 2011, I had my second child.

In 2013 I opened Cerise inside Studio 55 Salon Suites.

Hi there, I'm Cherish, and I have been in love with making people feel beautiful for a very long time.  When I was little I would sit and braid all of my friends' hair during story time. I had "Spa Day" sleepovers, and I had an all day Glamour Experience for my 16th birthday.  That was when I decided that I wanted to spend my career making people feel as special as I did that day. And so here I am, at Cerise Salon with Amy Anderson, who is one of my closest mentors in my journey.

I attended cosmetology school at Sacramento City College, and got my Cosmetologist license in November 2011, and then went through a grueling 16 month Master's Training Program that taught me all the "tricks of the trade".  I studied many different lines of color, extensions, Karatin smoothing treatments, Japanese straightening systems, texturing treatments, along with the latest hair coloring techniques and trends.  The meat, and most exciting part, of my training was learning the classic "Vidal Sassoon ways"; and my favorite, "The American Board Certified Haircolorits" curriculum. I gained a great deal of knowledge from my training, and came to love doing color and extensions the most.  I also absolutely love smoothing treatments and blowdrys!  Everyday I hope to grow better than the day before, with a long lasting career in this beauty industry.  So please come see me, and let me help you feel as beautiful, and as special as you are!

I've been a licensed hair stylist for four years and still going strong. In my first year I went through an assisting program that taught me precision hair cutting and excellent color skills. After one year of intense training I became an American Board Certified Haircolorists. Throughout the years I've had the opportunity to learn from the best educators in my industry from Vidal Sassoon courses to the best makeup artist in Sacramento! I've continued to set high goals for myself as a stylist and in my personal life. Which brought me to a great salon in Sacramento where I can take excellent care of my clients. I can recommend big changes, new trends and keep your look current and beautiful on a regular basis. I stay up to date with educational classes which always keeps me inspired to continue to give my clients the best that they deserve!
